Unisys has won a contract for providing iris and fingerprint recognition technologies for three of the five airports under TSA s Registered Traveler Pilot Program . Registered Traveler allows frequent fliers to obtain a biometric credential that enables them to navigate airport security checkpoints more efficiently.
Unisys will use both technologies at St. Paul International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport and George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The pilot is scheduled to last 90 days at each airport.
