Telenor Mobil, the Norwegian mobile operator, has named Ericsson as its full commercial EDGE system supplier. According to this agreement, Ericsson will implement a complete EDGE network infrastructure, delivering fast, packet-based mobile Internet access.
Ericsson stated, on the announcement note, that these deliveries have already started and that the network upgrade will serve approximately 2 million subscribers in Norway.
