Lithuanian IT manufacturer Alna is teaming up with the Telecom Business Support Systems (BSS) Software Products unit of Schlumberger (Germany) , a manufacturer of pre- and post-paid billing systems, to deliver customised solutions and professional services to mobile operators in Central and South America. The first joint customer is one of the major Mexicos mobile service providers, where implementation of a large pre post-paid solution started this month.
We are thrilled and honoured to enter this strategic partnership that will deliver best-of-breed solutions to Latin Americas premiere mobile operator, commented Alnas chief marketing officer Steve Grossman. He added that the partnership agreement was the result of tactical, consistent sales and marketing strategy to substantially grow Alnas international markets, particularly in the telecommunications and financial services sectors.
Under the terms of the agreement, both companies will jointly develop and deploy customised products on top of the Schlumberger customer care and billing solution, BSCS. The partnership extends past product development to consulting and support services.

The partnership is expected to be extended to include customers in Europe, Middle East, Asia and North America.
