Domain Dynamics, a provider of voice technology and applications, has announced availability of VOXit Mailer version 3.0. With its enriched feature set, VOXit Mailer 3.0 is designed for use with Windows Mobile, Microsofts latest operating system for handheld devices. VOXit Mailer uses voice commands that leverage speech recognition to activate, read aloud and reply to emails whilst on the move. Emails can also be created and forwarded using the application.
Throughout 2003, weve further extended the comprehensive suite of VOXit Mailer features as well as progressing our relationships with market leading vendors of handheld devices said Ian Anderton, general manager voice products at Domain Dynamics. Now, the VOXit Mailer productivity tool that offers a user-friendly alternative for handling emails whilst on the move, is available for an even wider market of handheld devices than ever before.
VOXit Mailer replaces keyboard or stylus strokes with voice commands; controls navigation around the inbox using spoken phrases such as open inbox, read, advance, reply, close inbox; reads emails aloud using Text-to-Speech technology; allows users to download, listen to, forward, create or respond to emails.
Domain Dynamics extended the usability of VOXit Mailer to the HP iPAQ models 1930, 1935, 1940, 5550, 2210 and 2215. It is already available on HP iPAQ models 1910 and 5450 as well as the 38xx and 39xx series and the O2 xda.
