Siemens Business Services has been awarded an order by the European office of Deere & Company (John Deere), in Mannheim, to implement SAP R/3 at six of the company’s European sites. The Siemens Group will also be providing customised training on how to use the enterprise software to around 3,400 users. Based in Moline, Illinois, John Deere is the world’s largest manufacturer of agricultural machinery.
Over the next two years, the Siemens Group will introduce SAP R/3 in four of the company’s factories and six of its sales offices in Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy and Spain. The Siemens subsidiary will also provide individual training on how to use the software to the various levels of management and employees in the language of the country.
With, at the same time, its qualification as a ‘Preferred Supplier’, Siemens Business Services has also established itself as a partner for other IT topics beyond SAP services.
“We are benefiting from this development since we are in a position with our extensive portfolio to offer all IT services from a single source”, says Paul A. Stodden, president and CEO of Siemens Business Services, against the backdrop of the current market trend.
