For the fifth consecutive year, CMP Europe, Ldt. will host at the Birmingham NEC, England, its Call Centre Expo UK a main contact centre event in the whole United Kingdom. This year the fair will also comprise half-day workshops, think-tank discussions and special sessions.

Call Centre Expo UK 2003 will focus on three main areas: People & Workplace, tackling aspects as recruitment, training, and motivation at call centres; Business Process and Strategy, broaching CRM solutions, outsourcing and multi-media contact strategy; Call & Contact Centre Technology, ranging from infrastructure, hardware & database to front-end software and web integrated solutions.
From an initial 3,466 assistance in 1999, the exhibition was attended last year by 7,774 people.
Since its launch in 1999, Call Centre Expo has seen phenomenal growth and has recently defied the current trends within the exhibition industry, stated Phil Hunter , event director, to the exhibitions official website.
Call centre industry is burgeoning in UK, representing already 2% of the countrys workforce but with one of the highest staff turnover, according to an article published last year in the UK by Steve Morel , Principle Analyst of Contact Babel for the Call Centre Focus Handbook.
