CosmoCom has announced the opening of its EMEA headquarters in Amsterdam and the appointment of Ronald Rubens, formerly one of Avaya’s EMEA executives, as Vice President for the region. CosmoCom established the new office and new EMEA VP position in response to its successes in the EMEA marketplace and the growing demand for hosted IP contact centers.

‘The Netherlands is the ideal spot for an EMEA headquarters,’ commented Rubens. ‘Its own call center market is healthy and growing, and it is a great hub for the rest of the region. The addition of this strategically located EMEA headquarters will add fuel to the strong momentum that CosmoCom has already established in the region.’

Ronald Rubens has more than 16 years experience in the call center and telecommunications industries, with a diverse background that includes senior management positions in sales, marketing, strategy, and product management. ‘CosmoCom has established a leadership-position in what I believe will be the fastest growing segment of the call center market,Rubens explained, ‘a remarkable achievement in the face of often larger competitors. I’m really excited to be part of CosmoCom, which I believe has an exceptional vision and the all the right fundamentals to fuel the growth in the Hosted Contact Center market’.

Prior to joining CosmoCom, Rubens held several key management positions during his eleven-year career at Avaya and was one of the major contributors to the success of the Avaya Call Center/Contact Center product lines in EMEA. Before joining Avaya, Ronald worked for Northern Telecom in Sales and Marketing. Ronald has a BSc in Electrical Engineering, and earned his MBA from New York University’s prestigious Executive MBA program.

The new headquarters will coordinate the activities of CosmoCom’s substantial staff in its existing offices in the region, which include UK, France, and Germany, and will provide a focal point for the development of major partnerships and alliances in EMEA as well. To that end, the company also announced that Ralph Pere will also be joining as part of its Amsterdam staff. Pere came from Avaya where he was responsible for strategic alliances in the EMEA region.
