NEC Corporation and Oki Electric Industry have announced that RECOMM, a Japanese information and telecom office automation equipment sales company, has selected an outbound call center system for its office in Dalian China.This 50-seat call center system starts service from November 2004.
On the release note, it is outlined that RECOMM, has established( in October 2003), a subsidiary in China, in order to improve sales efficiency at the headquarters and its franchise companies, under the name of Dalian RECOMM. Its task is to make phone calls and appointments to potential customers in Japan, substituting the sales representatives at the headquarters. RECOMM decided to renew its call center system in Dalian to reduce costs and improve business efficiency.
The infrastructure for the call center system is said to be based on Oki’s ‘CTstage 4i for .NET (Chinese version), Oki’s UnPBX-type CTI system, starting operation from October 2004. In addition to this system, NEC Nexsolutions, Ltd. takes charge of building and operating application systems including, ‘Integrated Customer Database’ that consists database for calling targeted customers and meeting histories, as well as schedule management system for sales reps at RECOMM headquarters.
By linking these systems, Dalian RECOMM expects to improve appointment making via international phone calls and enhance its sales activities.
