1384 — Orange and MACH Sarl establish framework agreement

Jul 26, 2004 | Conteúdos Em Ingles

The mobile communications group Orange SA, part of the France Telecom Group, and the data clearing house MACH Sarl, have entered into a framework agreement for the supply of roaming data clearing and related services. This global contract arrangement is the result of an extensive evaluation process started in November 2003.

According to Orange, the agreement will enable any of its affiliate worldwide to use MACH’s data clearing services using standard terms and conditions. The top nine Orange affiliates will migrate to MACH within a set timeframe. Optimus (Portugal) was the first operator to move its roaming data clearing operations to MACH under this agreement on 1 July 2004. Others will follow in the coming months.

Working with a single vendor like MACH will allow Orange to develop and deploy new and innovative services for existing customers using their mobile device abroad as well customers roaming on to the Orange network away from home. MACH’s efficient and cost-effective data clearing solutions give us a serious competitive advantage as we are able to implement group-wide roaming services”, commented Bart de Roover, Director of Orange Global Roaming & Interconnect.
