Alcatel and Arcor have signed a general frame agreement for the delivery of Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) products, over the next three years. With this contract Alcatel becomes one of Arcors main DSL technology vendors, enabling this German fixed network operator to offer advanced broadband services to their residential users and enterprise customers.
Under the terms of this agreement, Alcatel will have under its responsibility the turnkey project, including the delivery of DSL technology, integration into the existing operator network and support services. Alcatels first step will be the installation of its 7300 ASAM access solution in more than 100 locations throughout Germany. As part of the project, Alcatel will provide additional integration services for Arcor’s provisioning platform.
