Apples former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Fred D. Anderson, has been elected to the Companys Board of Directors. This decision followed his retirement announcement.
Anderson served as Apples Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, from March 1996 to June 2004. In his CFO role, Anderson oversaw the controller, treasury, investor relations, tax, information systems, internal audit, facilities, corporate development and human resources functions.
Before enrolling at Apple, Anderson worked at Automatic Data Processing, as CFO. Prior to that, held several domestic and international executive positions at MAI Systems Corporation, including President and Chief Operating Officer as well as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He also served as a member of the companys board of directors. Earlier he was a manager in the consulting division of Coopers & Lybrand. Currently, serves on the board of directors of eBay and E.piphany.
Anderson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Whittier College and an M.B.A. from the University of California. He served as a captain in the U. S. Air Force and is a certified public accountant in the State of California.
