Fairfax Water has finished the implementation of the stand-alone billing and customer financial management offering from SAP for Utilities. Prior to this deployment, the Company used a customer information system running on legacy software.
The integration of the new SAP system into the companys current legacy financial solution, was turned public at the American Water Works Association Customer Service Conference and Exposition. With this new stand-alone solution, Fairfax Water expects to increase call center efficiency and provide excellent customer service to a growing number of customers without requiring additional staff.
Fairfax, is a company that serves approximately one out of every five Virginians who obtain water from public utilities. This system will also provide Fairfax a fully integrated meter-to-cash business processes and complete collections functions.
