Devise citizen-focused solutions. Foster a continuous dialogue between citizens and governments. Develop efficient ICT solutions. Improve governmental networks and enlarge the scope of the eGovernment. These are the five key pillars propping Siebel Systems Europe’s programme for eGovernment.Logo

Introduced to the European Commission and to members of the European Parliament, the programme, entitled “eGovernment in Europe: Transform the Public Sector with Citizen Targeted Solutions”, is the result of contributions of more than 150 European experts, including regional and national government officers, technicians, academics, the European Commission and the European Parliament.

The final report also includes case studies of successful initiatives implemented on the Haringey and Tower Hamlets councils (UK) as well as on the Asturian and Catalunyan autonomous regions (Spain).

“Siebel Systems has proven experience on the development, implementation and leveraging of eGovernment solutions whose benefits for citizens and governments are both immediate and tangible,” asserted Jacques Attali, former personal adviser of French President François Mitterrand, and Siebel Systems Europe board member.

“I still believe that ‘government’ is the strongest link within the word ‘eGovernment’. The biggest challenge though will be how to manage new technologies in order to achieve an efficient governing reaching the goals of public policies,” explained Donald Johnson, Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
