International Business Systems (IBS), one of the world’s top ten providers of commercial software systems, will present its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions at this year’s CeBIT, from March 12 – 19, in Hannover, Germany. The company will show its ASW Business Software (including IBS Portal for the first time) and its Collaborative Business solution Virtual Enterprise.IBS logo

For CeBIT’2003, and against the global trend, IBS enlarges its exhibition stand to approximately 100 sq. metres: “We have noticed a great demand for our products and software solutions. Thus, we decided we’d have to bet strongly on CeBIT this year, by increasing our space there,” explained to our site Magnus Wastenson, CEO of IBS.

A new range of functionality is included in the version 5.0 of IBS’s modular solution ASW for Supply Chain Management (SCM), e-business, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) , Financials and Logistics. With IBS Portal the application includes for the first time a bundled Internet access, based on roles for each individual user, which gives them direct access to their respective relevant applications and data sources.

Other functional highlights of ASW 5.0 are online calculation of the generated Return on Investment (ROI) on the basis of a performance key system, the provision of centralised purchase conditions for all local subsidiaries, and the possibility to plan all processes in a graphical representation throughout the system.CebIT Logo 1

Additional innovations can be found in the ‘Customer Management Console’, which offers a role-based view of customer-related data, and in a cross-company data warehouse called ‘Corporate Data Maintenance’.

ASW Virtual Enterprise capabilities include the management of newly-developed business models, the establishment of a supply chain through internet and the performance of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI). The software can be run on different platforms and is based on IBM WebSphere Business Components.

The application is especially designed for companies that want to be able to take advantage of the increased possibilities offered by the new digital economy or to collaborate electronically across legal entities and national borders.
